Steward ( Daily Worker )

A Steward (Daily Worker) is a temporary, on-call hospitality professional responsible for supporting the Back-of-the-House (BOH) operations within the Food & Beverage (F&B) Department. The primary objective of this role is to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene across all kitchen areas, food preparation stations, and dining utensils. This position ensures smooth operational workflow and compliance with food safety regulations.

• Warewashing & Sanitation: Wash, sanitize, and dry all guest operating equipment (chinaware, glassware, silverware) and kitchen utensils (pots, pans, chef knives) efficiently using either commercial dishwashing machines or manual three-compartment sink methods.

• Asset Management & Storage: Handle all kitchenware and restaurant equipment with care to minimize breakage and loss. Ensure all items are properly stacked and stored in their designated storage areas.

• Kitchen Hygiene & Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen floor, walls, counters, and dishwashing areas. Perform deep cleaning schedules as instructed by the Head Steward or Kitchen Management.

• Waste Management: Empty, clean, and reline trash bins in the kitchen and food service areas. Segregate organic and inorganic waste and dispose of them in accordance with the hotel’s sanitation and environmental policies.

• Banquet & Event Support: Assist in preparing, transporting, and setting up necessary operating equipment for banquets, buffet stations, and special catering events.

• Chemical Safety Compliance: Safely handle, dilute, and store cleaning chemicals and detergents according to OSHA and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) standards.

• Minimum 6 month experience in similar position for daily worker.

• Able to fluently communicate in English both verbal and written.

• Well groomed and attractive.

• Willing to learn.
