Hostess

A Hostess is the primary point of contact responsible for greeting, welcoming, and seating guests with an exceptionally warm and polished demeanor. Operating at the front entrance desk of premium restaurants, lounges, or clubs, they manage table reservation books, optimize seating arrangements to assist floor servers, answer phone/digital inquiries, and manage the guest flow to create an outstanding first and last impression.

• Warm Guest Welcome: Standing positioned at the host stand to instantly greet arriving guests with a genuine smile, opening doors, and confirming booking details under corporate guidelines.

• Escorting & Seating: Escorting guests directly to their allocated tables, pulling out chairs, presenting clean food and beverage menus, and introducing their designated section server.

• Reservation Book Maintenance: Promptly answering incoming calls, managing WhatsApp business texts, logging future reservation dates, and systematically tracking VIP notes (e.g., food allergies, birthdays, or window-seat requests).

• Walk-In & Waitlist Control: Gracefully managing walk-in guest flows during peak rush hours, providing accurate waiting times, and organizing an orderly waitlist area near the bar or lounge.

• Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or Vocational High School Graduate (SMK Perhotelan / Pariwisata / Administrasi Perkantoran is highly preferred). Diploma (D1/D3) or Bachelor’s Degree (S1) graduates in Hospitality, Tourism, or Communications are highly competitive.

• Experience: 1–3 years of experience working as a restaurant hostess, hotel receptionist, front office agent, or promotional model/event usher within high-end service environments.

• Language: Fluent written and conversational English is mandatory. They must confidently handle phone accents, explain booking policies, greet international guests warmly, and direct them through the menu or venue layout without hesitation.
